Removal 3M IJ35 or Avery 2903 on floor

Hi guys,

I have a customer with some permanent vinyl. They don't know if it was Avery 2903 or IJ35 that was installed on the floor a few years ago. Now they need to remove it. The question is, what is the best option to do so, and how could it affect the flooring if any chemicals are used?

This is for a very high-traffic area.

Thanks!

Plastic razor blades and a 3M eraser wheel have always served me well for things like this.
Use a blade to start the removal and after you have a few inches lifted, use a cardboard tube to roll off the rest of the decal.
Then you can use the eraser wheel to get off the remaining adhesive. If stubborn, then move on to chemical solutions.
