Repalcing a Printhead...advice...

No, I really don't want to do it myself.
But I was wondering before I fork over nearly $1300-$1500 is there any other alternative?
I see the print heads on eBay and other websites (I know I have to be careful as some don't offer any warranty) but I know these ARE official Roland (Epson) parts for $800 everywhere I call has them marked up (for sale) at $1050 and up.

I thought about buying the print head and having someone do it but just not sure what to do at this point.
I have a Roland SP-540V
I even thought about upgrading my printer, but it does what I need it to.

Any advice?

Thanks!

There are vendors who will sell you a head for + - $800...

So for about $400 to $700 more, you can have your printer serviced by a Roland tech. If something goes wrong, they fix it...
