Hi Jay
Basically empty the water out..I use a drill with a star driver and lift up the container then remove the pump and manually use the drill to empty the lines.
I then remove the head cables and then the damper then unscrew the earth wire and then the 2 allen keys to remove the head, be careful of the spring under the head as it will ping off.
reversal is the same, but the spring is best put in the slot ,then the head pushed down and you must make sure that the head will slide back and forth with the spring pressure.fit the allen key screws back and nip up only.
If the tools you are reffering to are the micrometers then if u have fit them. The purpose is to adjust the slant and then the back and forth, the drop pos is done electonically in the service menu under print adjust.
You aslo must input the correct voltages and waveforms(either from the menu or what is written on the side of the heads), then do a drop pos and media comp. Most of this is just time , I can normally do a head and alignment change in 2-3 hrs. You will also need a magnifyer capable of seeing each individual dot.
If you dont have the right equipment then the alignment will never be right.
