Resin top coat

I currently supply reflective strips to mining companies and and trying to come up with something that protects the edges from peaking away and destroying the strip when they are pressure cleaned. Any suggestions ? Maybe a resin? I have tried would laminate but it seems to thin the layer the edges??? Any suggestions would be great
