Result of leaving top roller down by mistake

I was going to ask about my laminator’s silicone rollers. Would they flat spot if left together. That question was answered this morning.

I left the top roller down by mistake last night. I almost went back to the shop to raise them, but didn’t want to drive the 40 miles. This morning no flat spot at all.

Not that I’ll leave them down on purpose, but if I do, it causes no issue at least in a 16 hour period.

Knock on wood, but I've never let up on the pressure on my laminator unless I am not using it for a long period of time and never had an issue. John

Currently have a GFP 436TH and had a Seal 62 Pro C at my last job, we always leave them webbed and under pressure...No issues yet.

I'll get flat spots on the rollers of my plotter that make it track less accurate if I leave the rollers down on those.

Never has an issue with a laminator.

The plotter flat spots happen because its 2 different densities, the Laminator rollers should be the same density.
