Revamping those boring vehicle wrap pics!

We have had some down time here and while we have been working on improving our website, our gallery pictures of vehicle wraps really were quite boring and vanilla. So I took a few hours of down time and started making these vehicles show up in some cool places! Let me know what you guys think...

All these vehicles are wrapped vehicles, but most of the scenes are not real as you will be able to tell because of the limits of my time... (see if you can spot the line between fake and real!)

Those look great! We started doing the same, playing with a few different backgrounds other than the 'studio' backgrounds we had always been using for the last few years. Hard to get lighting to work, but many times these comps are all we have when clients get the our design installed by their local shop.

that one is combo client + background

It's always nice when clients hire out professional photographers like these. But if not, Photoshop will do the trick!

Guess I'm not with the rest of you on the looks of placing in photoshop background...UNLESS there is contrast or harmony with contrast
I saw only a couple I liked.

As far as wraps goes most of what I see also offer little contrast.

Am I that far off the scale .. that wraps should just be a bunch of color with poorly readable messages.

I would have to respectfully disagree with your assessment and say YES you are "that far off."
I saw very FEW of those wraps being "ineffective" due to busyness. The color schemes are grabby and the layouts are NOT chalk full of information but rather focus on the logo and some thematic imagery. They are meant to grab attention in transit. The time to set the wrapped vehicle in a an attractive setting rather than in front of a dumpster on top of dry cracked asphalt DOES make the vehicle look that much more attractive. I would say you are out of touch on this ....respectively of course.

Thanks for checking out the link.. You guys rock!!! enhancing images is so much fun and the possibilities are endless!!!

I created a tutorial on the steps I took and things to consider when using Photoshop to boost up an image gallery. Here is the link if you are interested. I also posted before and afters on here to so you can see the original pics where these enhancements started.
