Ricoh is getting into the Wide Format Latex Market

Not interested. Seems many folks were thinking latex would take over the industry. Didn't happen. I wonder how many latex printers Mimaki has sold? For me to invest in a new printer it would have to be a rocket. 500 square feet an hour @ 720 x 720 is what I'd want. Latex printers to date cannot approach a fifth of that.

As far as laminating right away there is an excellent article in Restyling and Truck Accessories magazine February issue. Seems Sergio DeSoto, Caldera and Mutoh crushed that myth regarding solvent printers.

The more, the merrier :)

Pricing might go down when more brands are competing.
I have a desktop Ricoh sublimation printer. Like it a lot

I love my HP L26500 and I can't wait for a model with the white ink. If it could have the same ink set as this ricoh, it would be awesome. But I'm with rjssigns with the print speed and the time it take to heated up on the first print.

The shape is like a déjà vu...

I don't believe a word he said. It looks like he is paid big money by Mutoh.

I doubt Mutoh and Caldera would allow themselves or employees to be mentioned if it was bogus. Think about the repercussions. Now think about the marketing upside for those involved.

People that are willing to spend the time, but more importantly the money required are the ones that develop the breakthroughs.
