rip computer for l25500

I have a separate rip computer for my l25500 and my 8000. How much gig of memory is enough. I had 8 gb and just double it, but don't see the different. Is 16gb too much and just a waste? If it is I want to take it out and use it for a different computer

I doubt your ripping files over 8 gig so I see having that much irrelevant.
Sounds like you need a faster processor if your having problems.

No, I'm not having problem with the rip at all, I was just wondering if 16gb is just too much to waste on a rip computer.

If you are running a 32 bit OS such as win 7 32 bit then you have way too much ram.
If you have a 64 bit OS such as win 7 64 then you have plenty of RAM.

I run a 8 gig RAM Win 7 64 bit with an I7 processor and have never run out of memory.

Rendering time is near instant for 3D cnc files and smoking hot fast for RIP files.
