Need Help Ripped open metal effect

I am working on a personal project which requires a image or program that can produce high quality ripped metal effects.
The idea is to have prints on a vehicle that look as if the metalwork of the vehicle has been ripped open to show something else underneath.
This is where it gets difficult.
The ripped effect has to be generated in certain positions so would need to be generated, as opposed to a generic image.
I have the underlying artwork ready but the ripped metal part is proving very hard indeed.

Reckon you're looking at using elements from existing images and tweaking to suit your layout/angles etc...or a completely fresh design, might need a competent Photoshop whizz to help!?

Designed in CorelDraw. All colors are changeable. Shape is not easily changed though.
