Does your machine have a lot of overspray?? it could get into the CR motor gear and if you get enough of it, it will start to grab the belt and make a velcro ripping sound. This can also gum up the CR driven pulley on the belt adjuster. Both the gear teeth and the pulley need to be cleaned of any residue overspray in the belt path.
