ahhh, Antique Olive, Banco, Mistral, Diane, Calypso.

He was also a great designer and Typographer.

His fonts all have a snazzy bit to them, they are rule breakers by a man who knew the rules better than most others.

He thought so highly of the tops of letters.

I love this quote about his type design, it is so French!!

It was typical of Excoffon to combine audacity with caution.

His fonts always made/make the upper crust of the font world cringe, but they are all very successful and still sell.

He was very fast with the brush, a true master, he knew what he was doing. He also was an even better poster designer and graphic designer par excellence.
