Roland CAMM-1 CM-400 - Has anyone heard of this? Impressions Needed

I have the opportunity to purchase a Camm1 CM-400 in 40" for around $1000.00 and am wondering if anyone knows anything about it? I am going to purchase either this, or a used panther (Zencut Green I believe) for $800.00

I cant find anything on the internet for the life of me.

Cm 400

Nothing on the internet because it is pre internet. This was Roland's pro series cutter 8-10 years ago. Good cutter but you will need a serial or parrel connection. Drivers through XP should not be a problem

lets put it this way, you can buy the cat cutter.........and replace it in 3-4 year....maybe less OR BUY THE ROLAND CX-400..........AND NEVER BUY ANOTHER PLOTTER!!!!!!!!!!!!!
i been cuttin since 1992...........on nothing but ROLANDS..............and the only reason i up graded them was SIZE OF MATERIAL.........i could cut. started with a PNC-1000, was limited 15" 18" or 20" vinyl.......and slow.
moved up to PNC-1100, full 24" cutter, liked it so well i bought a 2nd. got a deal on a CX-300, and is what i have now.
can say this ......the other 3 ROLANDS I OWNED.....ARE STILL CUTTING TODAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Seems a bit pricey for that old of a cutter. FWIW - I just sold my CX-400 for $1250 and it was like new. I would try to haggle the price down or keep looking.

Update:::

I tryed to talk him down, and he basically told me its a $2000.00 machine so I let it go.

Now I have found a Graphtec FC4100 75 (30" Cutter) for $500.00. Does this sound like a good deal?
