I have a Roland CJ-500 that I am looking to sell. It is getting old on me and I am looking to see what it is worth, Can anyone steer me in the right direction.
What type of ink is it using? Any problems with it? I've seen units converted to eco-solvent in good working order fetch over $7,000 on ebay. If it is still using pigment inks and is in good condition probably less than half of that.
I wouldn't pay more than $4k for one that is still using pigment inks. The cost of converting it over is beyond $2500 if you include the cost of labor. You could try having it converted over and selling it then. Or contact Solvent Printer Conversion (www.solventprinterconversion.com) I know Dave is always buying them up to convert them to eco.
