Roland Eco-Sol Max Ink

I have a new (it was sealed) Roland Eco-Sol Max Ink cartridge Cyan the is not recognized when I install the cartridge in the printer, I tried cleaning the contacts on the chip but it will still not be recognized by the printer.

Do you think if I remove the link from this bad cartridge and add it into another cartridge that is 1/2 full it would work and I will be able to save the ink?

Or just remove the chip from a half-empty cartridge and install the chi[p on this cartridge?

Is there such a this as a chip resetter for Roland Eco-Sol Max Ink cartridges?

Thanks for any help with this.

I have never heard of a bad chip on these, hopefully it’s just a one off. Let us know if you do save the cartridge, could be valuable if it continues to happen. Good luck!

I have problem every time I put a cartridge in on any color. Normally I have to pull it out and back in several times before it reads.

please do not try to add ink to another cart any air in the bag will give a lot of problems.

at worst change the ink bag in the cart, and put in a known cart case take a couple of old ones to bits to see.how it works.
really
should ask the seller why.. also check that there is no bits of cart label stuck down in the works and that the needle is not bent over so not allowing the cart to sit all the way in.

Call your local dealer who sells 3rd party ink and buy a new chip. That's the easiest way out. Moving ink from one bag to the other, like mentioned above, can introduce air and cause all sorts of ink flow issues. Also, make sure the little button that tell the machine a cartridge is installed is not broken or maybe bent in a way where the cartridge can't push it. It's a tiny white/gray button all the way at the back of the holder.

it sounds like you have problem with the part that contacts the chip, the chip reader, not the cartridge. they are serviceable parts though difficult to change. search for a video for your printer or call a specialist
