For some reason my roland gx24 will not cut when I send file to it. I am using cut studio.
when i enter properties for cutting set up it gets the correct measurement from machine but when I try to cut it does nothing . One time it tried cutting but it only cut half of design. right now I can make a new file with a word and it will not cut it. I am baffled

its a windows update that broke everything, i see its still stopping cutters from working

absolute idiots are on the update team now, i had a whole host of other problems with my network card dropping out and the sound card crashing, i never found a fix and it just went away one day i assume another update fixed it.

get a 3rd party app to stop updates on your machine you use for cutting, its not worth the risk anymore if you can't uninstall the update you will have to reinstall windows

Its a security update i cant remember the KB number.

Best way to stop updates is to change Internet connection settings to “Metered Connection” - that way you still have Internet connection, but it doesn't attempt to update..

But.. In reality, production machines shouldnt be Internet connected as they're your money maker.. Any issues costs you money.. Block those from the Internet and use another machine to design, then simply print/cut to the network machine.. Much safer

its absurd we have to go to these lengths on our own machines and its just baffling how this problem is still happening, how does MS not know they are stopping potentially thousands of people from using their plotters

When i was having problems I tried my plotter on 3 different machines, and all of them wouldn't cut, i thought my plotter was broken

I wish we could do something to punish MS for this

Tried it but did not work
Were you able to solve your problem? I am having the extra same one. My computer crashed and I was using Win 7. Now I have Win 10 Pro on a different computer and have been trying to few weeks to get it going. Talked to Roland dealer and they say my machine is on it't way out so no support. So frustrating!!! Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
