Roland only ink or generic

I currently have the SC545EX and have only used Roland ink in it. I would suggest not to change.

I have an SC545EX and use STS ink. No problems so far.
Used Bordeaux for 5+ years with good results.
It’s only worth changing from oem if you are really pumping out work on the printer. Using the machine every day.
3rd party ink requires more cleaning and maintenance on the machine in my experience. Cap tops, dampers will need replacement more often. The ink tends to overspray so maintenance is important.
I have a brand new Mimaki and when the warranty is up it’s getting 3rd party ink.
