Roland PC-60 Branding?

I have a friend that has the pc-60 and had it for almost 5 years. He was making some printed labels for me (Black ink on Clear and Black on White Vinyl) and it is starting to have White lines going through the ink he called it branding He found something to ajust but it still did not fix
Anyone had any issues with this before and any solutions?

Scratched print head, $800 to fix.

We had a 600 many moons ago that got sent back to get fixed twice.

If it's periodic and not consistant then it's cause is aftermarket ribbons.

It's banding, it can be a few issues.

-ribbons
-the type of vinyl
-the print head
-line pitch adjustment
-pinch roller slippage, especially if they have a habit of leaving the pinch rollers down.
-pulling from a heavy roll or more resistance than the rollers can handle.
