Roland PNC-1000 (NEED HELP)

I turned on my Roland PNC-1000 for the first time in like six months. When I went to cut some text it started to cut numbers instead. I think they are the commands that the computer is sending to the cutter. I used flexi sign 7.6 pro and the flexi manager to cut. I also used CutStudio and had the same thing happen. I started reading the manual but could not find anything on my problem. can anyone tell me how to fix this problem. I have not used this cutter very much but have never had this issue before.
