We turn on our Roland RS640 and straight away a message come up press power key to clean. When we press the power key after a few seconds the carriage motor seems to lock up. It does not matter if the carriage is in the home position or up the other end. We then get the service call 0102 message come up. We first started getting error code 0008 it would then go to 0102 when we tried to restart, now it goes straight to 0102.
We have replaced the motor, also the sensor that reads the carriage is at home, online it says the head lock sensor, am I right in thinking this is the head lock sensor.
