Roland RV versa express 640 cleaning before every print

Member for quite some time.
Our Roland RF Versa-express 640 is running through a cleaning cycle before every print. This recently started happening and we're going through a lot of ink. Is there something we can do to fix this? Has anyone else had this happen?

It could be an ink system protection feature. Look in Versaworks at the ink status for your printer. do any of cartridges show an error? This can happen if you have expired ink or a bad chip on a cartridge or the chip reader is not reading the cartridge correctly. Have you recently changed any of the cartridges?
