DIY Printer Fixing Guide
I would run the limit position adjustment first. it sounds like it could be getting hung up on the head lock mechanism. If that isn't the issue, I have run into this problem before on an XC model and it ended up being the servo board was fried.

If it's a scan motor error 0080, it's getting stuck. If it's a 0110 good chance the motor is hooped.

The cable tension being super low can cause motor errors as well. Vander's right about the limit position adjust, thats the likely scenario.

A bit lengthy to put in here, but look up youtube vids of limit position adjust, its the same for any print + cut machine.

I had this same error for quite a while, and if you look at some of my post history, you can find what I did to fix it. In short, I eventually had a certified tech come out and do a "tune up". It cost me a whole $125 and he cleaned up my entire problem. Turned out for me, the carriage cable was too tight and was causing binding. He had the proper tools and gauges to adjust. Works like new. So, basically, get someone that knows what they are doing to fix it for you.
