Roland SC540 Printing Poorly

Need some help!!!! Roland Certified Technicians cannot even help us! I have a SC540 that's about 6 years old. It's been printing great up until 2 weeks ago when it began printing "red" or "pink" in all my fades or any 4 color pictures. However, if I print just one color, the machine is still printing fantastic. I didn't change my profiles or rip program. I didn't change anything, it just started doing this one day. I've been told it's my profiles but I've bought new rip programs, have had several "experts" look at the profiles and can't figure it out. Roland has came out and replaced my black head and a few dampers for $1,500. Didn't fix the problem. I don't know what to do. Does someone have any suggestions?

If they charged you $1,500 and didn't fix anything other than replace parts, what are you paying for? I would call the company that installed these parts and ask for a refund being all they did was guess what the problem was at your expense!

Do you know anyone local that has a laptop with another rip on it that could come by and try to print from it? This would eliminate the rip and profiles!

6 years is kinda old. Was your black head even in need of replacement? Did they say they thought that that would fix your problem?

I probably would see if you could get your $1,500 back and just put it toward a brand new model.

What rip are you using? Versaworks? Anything wrong with the test print? (color?, jets?) Do you just get more red than normal or are you getting red in places where it shouldn't be at all? Do you have the same problem if using old art from a previous job? Is the bad color consistent or does it come and go or shift during a print?

The test print is fine except one side of the yellow isn't firing. I'm afraid that print head may need to be replaced. That is a new problem though. That has nothing to do with the pink overtones. We've had this problem for awhile now and the yellow issue just came up in the past few days.
