I am trying to make some fine art prints using an epson water color paper...I used this paper with the epson 7600, and got great, clear vivid prints....with the new roland, the edges seem really soft and the color is not as vivid......any ideas?
1. is there a profile out there for the fine art papers?
2. should i raise the print head height?

help would be great! - www.joebaker.net

I also have a SP300
I am still nubee at this and I'm sure more experienced help will be on the way.
So heres a shot till the pros show up..
What RIP are you using, the Rip should have a profile for photo paper?
If you are using the Windows Driver (LIke I did) that might be your issue.
Just a thought.

Don't bother using a Matt paper material on Eco Solvent paper because inks don't take to it well. I tried few times myself but was a waste of time. I use 7800 for fine art and Roland does great job for glossy papers at least :)
