When u use a Roland SP540 and your graphic is done printing and u have it set up to contours cuts around your graphic. If at that point u choose to weed out the remaining unused vinyl and from there u were to then laminate the graphic would u have to hand contour cut around the vinyl?

With other printers u need 3 pieces of equipment.
The Printer
The Cutter/plotter
The Laminater

What is the standard operating procedure with a Roland and a laminater
to get it to contour cut around the laminated graphic

Print your graphic with registration marks.
Remove from the printer and laminate
Reload into the printer. The printer will find the registration marks and cut the contour through the laminate and vinyl
Remove from the printer and weed.

Just be sure not to take the print directly from the VersaCAMM and laminate it. Let it sit for a while to let the gases out. When you feed it back into the printer line the registration marks up with the cutter protection strip and base point the machine.

Are you using Versaworks or another program to complete this?

Also, make sure you leave about a foot of vinyl behind the 2nd set of registration marks, or the printer will spit it out when registering.

And remember to hit "base point" after you have it lined back up where you want it.

We never hit base point after reloading it to be cut, and ours works.
So not sure its realy needed (at least in our case).
