I am new to the printing cutting world and am having an issue with the tops of my first print line being an off color (about an inch in the first line) I have tried moving the print down 1/4” and it is still happening I am sure this is an easy fix and I am just doing something dumb but I am just not sure what it is. The first pic is the first print row and the second pic is the second row which is the correct color

DIY Printer Fixing Guide
It looks like the cyan is probably having ink flow issues. I would disconnect the cap top from the pump and try to pull ink through with a syringe while the heads are capped. If you pull air and the syringe doesn't pull back on you, you need a new cap top. If you pull and get suction but no ink, it's clogged and you can flush it out with cleaning solution. If you pull and get suction and ink, the cap top is fine. While you're in there you might as well also just flush some solution through the pump and into the waste tank to make sure there are no clogs. Once you know everything below the print heads is working properly, run a cleaning and see if that fixes the issue. If not, it's most likely a bad damper.

I have an old SP540v. This happens to me sometimes if I haven't printed anything in awhile. The first inch or two are just not the right colour, as if the ink just isn't getting through the head properly. A simple solution for me has been to manually clean the heads and then print the VersaWorks test print. Get the ink going and then run your job.
