Hey guys. I just bought a used Roland SP300 that I got at a really good price. However, I am having a couple of problems with it so far. I feel like this machine needs just a couple of things and it will be perfect. Recently, I had a problem with a constant pinch roller error and width of 0.0". I learned that this was from the flex cable and I replaced that myself. No more problems from that. I'm having two more problems that I'd like to find out how to fix.
I'm not a print shop and may use this machine once a week or so for the occasional stickers or decals. I have found that I have cut more often and only really print every now and then. Well if I wait more than a day after my previous print to print something the print will print in all one color. Like the other day I went to print stickers with a bunch of different colors and it came out as a solid cyan color. The test print showed perfect black, perfect cyan, but the magenta and yellow were like an orange color. I did a medium head cleaning and this cleared it up. I've got into the habit of printing a test print before each job and it will always be a different color that shows up incorrectly and I will end up doing a manual cleaning. Before I changed the flex cable I was printing something every day and I never had this problem, so I don't know if it could be the fact that I'm just not printing every day or if it has something to do with the flex cable. I was told that manual cleanings take ink out of the cartridges to clean the heads. Is that true?
The next problem I'm having is the cutting is not really aligned with the print. It's normally just off the right a little bit. The top and bottom is fine but for example the left side will be cut in too far and the right will be too far to the right. This is very noticeable with decals that have a small stroke and it get's cut off on one side and the other has it with an extra white stroke. After reading the manual I tried performing an automatic print/cut adjustment but keep getting an error "Service Call 0111." Anybody know what this could be?
I have only had this machine for about a month now, and I haven't really made a lot of stuff with this machine.. So please go easy on me.
Thanks.
