Need Help Roland SP300V stops in the mid job

Hi all,
I own a Roland SP300V that I mainly use for cutting.
Recently the machine decides to stops in the middle of a job and the control panel says 'cancelling'. I wait and wait and the machine seems to be frozen where I then have to power on and off again from the main switch.
I have tried the following but no luck:
Reinstall Versaworks
Tried shorter USB cable
Tried different USB ports

Could this be a Main board/motherboard issue?
Has anyone experienced this and had a solution to this?

What format are you sending the files to versa in?

I always think its worth cleaning the encoder strip if you have issues like that, not saying it is the problem but could be an easy fix.
