roland sp300v wont print black

I assume you meant to answer NO to the first one?? If not, then that's your problem. If you can see black ink in the damper then the tube is not plugged.

I just went thru a similar issue with my sp300 and it turned out being
the head was plugged up due to not using the machine enough. Print everyday
now and don't have the problem.

I dont know how good advice this is..try several, many, test prints..it will save ink and maybe fix your problem.

It might be the ink damper. It attaches directly to the head to regulate pressure in the line. If it is broken, no ink will come out.

Off the top of my head, every single other problem (besides being out of black ink) would also effect the cyan as well since they share the same cap top.

I agree. Seems like the damper. Make sure you replace the o-ring when you replace damper.
