Roland SP540V Contour Cutting

Hi everyone, I'm having contour cut issues, it had been dead accurate after being calibrated by a Roland technician and is mostly still accurate except when going back to start a new shape like the centre of a letter and cutting it way off target. Any suggestions much appreciated.

Our SP540 will cut dead accurate when doing a print/cut routine. It will knock out hundreds of labels with negligible drift. Contour cutting after lamination is another story. We limit ourselves to about 5' give or take a shade.

We do all our own calibration through the service menu and keep up with it, so I suspect it is the nature of the beast.

That is why I'm going to buy a dedicated rig for longer contour cuts on laminated materials.

Thanks RJ, yes I forgot to mention it only seems to be after laminating and when doing larger stuff. Frustrating because it means extra time and material wasted.
