Roland SP540V Printing Issue

Hi, I have a Roland SP540V which seems to be printing off at an angle, and not straight onto the media. Has anyone ever experienced this before? I checked the media, and it seems fine. Any ideas?

Maybe a dirty encoder strip?

Clean the encoder strip with alcohol. That helped us when we had one of those machines.

Encoder strip, but I use eyeglass cleaning fluid and a microfiber cloth.

Try blowing some canned air on the encoder strip first.

Def the encoder strip. Once you have that cleaned, make sure to check your head alignment and do a couple test prints as well. Shouldn't be a major issue

If I remeber correctly I thought you had to 'reintialize the limit' after you clean the encoder. After that do a 'linear setup' then 'linear calibration'. If you don't know how to do those adjustments I would suggest you call your dealer.
