Any issue with aftermarket wipers? Always used OEM, but $24 each now is nuts considering generics are less than $3.

Make sure they have the cloth on the back. I used ones without a couple of years ago and I had troubles with clogging and deflections.

I only use OEM parts and ink for my Roland printer. Never an issue...

FYI

The semi-rough felt material on the back of the OEM Roland wipers is only used when you do a HARD cleaning with the printer.

$3 wipers? Make sure there compatible with solvent ink and that they are the exact size...

If your paying $24 per wiper you need to find a new supplier.

I know what you mean about the Roland wipers, looking at what they are the price is way over rated.

I contacted several of the suppliers of the generic wipers and was told they did NOT have the felt backing, just the rubber type material. Also, some of the cheaper ones are NOT solvent compatible.

So, I decided to keep purchasing the Roland wipers from CS Sign Supply for $13.50 each (CS Sign Supply is a merchant member here).

What do you mean by hard cleaning? I thought the wipers wiped back and forth?
