I received the service call error code 0380 (0008) after the printer splotched black ink like if it just vomited while printing. Anybody know what I can expect, I assume there is no support today cause it’s 4th of July.

A 0380 error is a timing error in which the machine tries and fails after a set time frame to fill a damper. The 0008 indicates what damper. Usually the small sensors fail. It is good to keep them on hand. The usual sign for this is ink leaking out of the printhead. Of course they are also in other parts of the machine but do not yield a 380 error. You could try doing a damper fill to see if you can reproduce it. A damper fill will also stretch the clear plastic cover on the dampers. This may also solve your issue as they have been known to become tight overtime and can cause one of these errors to occur.
