Roland VG VG2 640 Damper question

Are there o-rings between the damper and the printhead on a Truevis? Have it apart and don't see any o-rings? Having possible air issues on Lt Magenta but Lt Cyan is working perfectly. If I do a powerful clean Lt magenta comes back for a day and then get staggered loss on test print, telling me its not a faulty head. The captop is new. So trying to figure out if there is a slight air leak over a 24 hr period, somewhere that's dropping half the head.

On the SG heads, there are rubber seals on top the print head on the white plastic part. I don't think you can change them, they seem to be molded into the plastic.

Bad seals are not very common. I had it twice now. There were problems with the dampers and when the head is used for a while, it wont seal anymore, when you replace just the damper. It's just something, you need to be aware of. You get service calls 0380 or 0400 during damper fill. The filler sensor lever moves to the outside, as soon as the sucking pump at the captop stops sucking.

before the head try to change the ink valve (1000019097)
2 problems can happen with this valve
the valve remains open; too much ink gets to the print head and the head leaks and drips on the media

the valve remains closed; and not enough ink reaches the head
there is a loss of nozzle because air enters by the head (underpressurized nozzles) this can make you think of a leak on the circuit ...

I had the 2 cases on our VG640
