DIY Printer Fixing Guide
With the machine unplugged and discharged, take the print head cable out and check the leads for corrosion, debris, broken or bent leads and/or ink splatter. Also, check the terminal on the print head where the cables plug into for the same issues. When the head fires all the way across the print like that it is usually one of four issues. The head cable, the print head itself, the trailing cables that go from the slider board to the main board or a transistor on the main board is fried. Most of the time it is going to be the cable or the head.
