Roland VP540 - very unusual problem

Hello, my first post here, thank you for taking a second to read over this.

The problem I'm having appears to be with bi-directional calibration, but every time I correct each head and run a new calibration print test things start to go off. Even stranger is that it only starts happening on the left side. I've attached a few images to show you what I'm talking about. On the right side things print correctly, numbers are clear and crisp. On the left side not so much. I'm aware the calibrations are currently being shown as off on the left side, I've rerun the calibrations 6 times and every time they change as I move down the sheet, so changing them seems useless at this point. Also worth note is that in the images attached I have not made any changes to the calibrations, so you can see how they changes as they move down the sheet. Any insight would be greatly appreciated it, hopefully someone has encountered this problem before.

If you are having printing issues on the left and not the right, as in "blurry" print on one side and "crisp" print on the other then my best guess is your linear encoder strip is dirty.

Use alcohol that is NOT Denatured. That can cause fogging of the strip.
