Roland VS-540 plastic repairs????

G'day all!
Came back to a new year, and almost immediately broke something!
Some of you may be familiar with the crappy covers on the Rolands, the tiny ABS plastic tab broke off the left cover many years ago, now replaced by a wedge of Sintra on the micro-switch!...which is a PITA when running a manual head clean. When re-installing the cover, simply gently rotating it in my hands, the corner snapped off!
Obviously I can scuff, epoxy, and hope for the best....then the tab busted off the RIGHT cover!

These are a little more challenging to glue, just wondering if anyone has a good 'fix'.
:(
I'd be thrilled if I could just disable the micro-switches, I always want to see wtf is going on when the silly wiper and felt at messing up my clean heads!
thx for any brilliant ideas folks!

I've rebuilt the tabs with super glue and baking soda.
Unfortunately, you can bypass the switches because certain routines ask for the doors to be opened and closed at certain points.

Good luck.

AH....of course, you are correct, covers must go on and off to cycle during the maintenance routines!....but.....
....can this all be bypassed if in 'service mode'?
being a tech, I am hoping your answer is yes!
if not, then I'll get out the glue! :(
