Roland VS-640i - Ink-Change from ESL5 to ESL4 - need help

Cheers guys,

i need to swicht back from Eco Sol Max 3 (ESL5) to Eco Sol Max 2 (ESL4).

Why? I am seller of MegaInk by Digital Ink Inks and buy broken printers and sell them again after refubish.
Digital Inks can´t offer the ESL5 to me because of reasons i can´t tell here

the machine was running on CMYK LC LM and had old ink inside and problems in yellow.
So i made the head wash and Changed the ink type like mentioned.

But i can´t swicht to Eco Sol Max 2 (ESL4).

If i make it like mentioned, i have not the possibility and it always shows to me
"wrong cardridge"
I coukd can Choose Eco Sol Max 4c which seems good for me but then the tells me wrong cardridge.

now i am confused if they send me the wrong chips or i just can´t Chosse Eco sol max 2 (ESL4)

i made something over the cardridge chip and could fill the system.

did the machine now thing we are on Eco Sol MAX 1?

Make sure you have them in the proper slots when you go to CMYKx2, I have a VS-300i with the Eco-Sol Max 2 CMYKx2 configuration and the slots are different from the CMYK LC LM WH MT.

Strange, I assume you did the cleaning out of the lines prior to the attempt at changing the inks?

I made the Head wash because the previous inks was out of Date around 6 month.
Someone know how to switch back to Eco sol max 2(esl4)?!

Hopefully you haven't updated the firmware as quite often firmware updates are primarily to stop non oem ink use, this can also affect the ink types offered.

A full reset will sometimes fix it, but you'll need to set all the limits again
