Roland Vs-640I VS Roland XR-640

Can anyone help me with either of these 2 machines?

I have never used a Roland machine and have only used a Mutoh 1324.

We do not have to have a print/cut version but we can get really good deals on these 2 machines and i have read good reviews about both. The XR is supposed to be a lot faster than the VS. We plan on using the CMYKLCLMLK i think lol.. We are looking for a larger color ranger with great bright greens, Oranges and vibrant colors. Again the Mutoh 1324 we have now is a little on the dull side kinda..

We currently use oralcal 3165ra and oracal210 for our flat surface and stickers. We then use Avery 1005ezrs and Avery dol1060 but was told that they do not work well with the roland as the profiles are not exact as Roland has their own preferred material.

So looking on what would be there preferred machine and rather to run CMYKCMYK or CMYKLCLMLK and material to use?

We do a wide range of things and are not stuck to a massive amount of one thing.

Thanks

I cannot compare the two for you but I can say that the XR640 prints brilliantly with Oracle substrates using Oracle's profiles. It prints great on 3M using Oracle or Arlon profiles as well.

Thank you this helps.. We ahve had really good luck with the material we use now and get great pricing on it. We would hate to change but will do what we have to do. ill test before any change is made.

Thank you again
