Need Help Roland XC-540 Magenta & Cyan not printing.

Hi Guys I have been having endless issues with my xc-540 this week firstly I kept getting sheet set error finally after a few days changing different things I changed the sensor and it worked fine however my issue is now I am not getting and Magenta or Cyan after multiple cleans etc nothing Black and Yellow are working fab.

I have gone into the service menu and checked with heads are not working and its heads 1 & 2 and heads 3& 4 are fine. I do not think its a case where the heads have gone as when I had the sheet set error issue I took a lot of wires and ribbons apart to clean everything as it was fairly dusty. I did notice when I put one of the flex cables back the little chis on the wire was slightly damaged which kept bringing me the error of Temperature too high 45 degrees. Which I quickly rectified by straightening the chip out. So just gives an idea of what I took apart.

Today after getting no M and C went and changed the ribbon cables for the ink and replaced them with each other i.e the 2 black ribbons with the magenta ones to see if it works and its a faulty ribbon however the black still printed and the magenta didn't. The cap tops are all ok as they were recently changed. Any Help would be great I have tried adding some images.

I am assuming the heads are not firing up? i.e an electronic issue but I do not know what I am looking for or where it would be located.

Thanks
Adam

DIY Printer Fixing Guide
You just blew the fuse on the head board. When the cable is broken like yours and you get a head heat error, the machine is trying to tell you that there is a short in the system. That short blew the fuse. On that machine 1 fuse protects 2 heads which is why the other head stopped firing as well. Here is a link to the fuse you need. Unfortunately that is an older model so the fuses are soldered in. If you don't have the skills to do it yourself you will have to hire someone to do it for you.

Thanks for the reply I will be ok with doing it myself as Ive seen where they go on the machine! is this the correct part from a uk supplier so I can get it quicker think I might have found it on there site not sure if its correct. https://joserospares.com/others/770...-spvsvsxj-series-printers-1000000659-for-sale

Ahh! Mine was touched i.e the cables etc so I tested the fuse today Im suspecting a fuse issue ordered some new fuses due to be with me tomorrow so ill update you on that tomorrow when it arrives. Have you tried doing an ink renewal and a powerful clean? I know they say not too however I often found powerful cleans work for me but do not keep doing it.
You can try to pull the ink from the captops with a syringe to check any air block if you have not already tried? I tried multiple things almost drained a lot of ink just to try get it to print until I found there was an issue with the printhead not firing at all..
