Rubber wedge thingamajig ?

Any one know what this is.looks like some sort of rubber bumper, found it under the maintenance station on my outdoor jr.

Either a bump stop or to keep a cover from rattling? Should be a glue track where it was attached.

my guess

That is the wedge in the pump to prevent your pump tubes from contacting the gears that they sit beside.

That's what I thought. Thinking back when I changed the last pump saw the same wedge under it.
