RVW color palette alternative?

As explained in another thread, my Roland SP-540i has developed lines (yet again) in RVW colors, 6 months after installing a new K-head. It prints RGB and CMYK colors perfectly (from CorelDraw 7), but strangely, always has lines in the RVW spot colors, and this is what I like to use for predictable output.

I've attempted to resolve the problem with my tech and the people at Roland, but it appears that it will need yet another new head, which I'm not too interested in doing again at full price. So my question is: Is there an existing CMYK (or maybe Pantone?) color swatch file that I can print off, then cut into segments to have a reference swatch like we have with the RVW colors?

Thanks

make one with the corel macro, then you know that it was exported the way you normally export for print.

I don't know what you mean.
tools - macros - run macro
look in 'global macros' for 'create color swatch'

run it, it will create a set of swatches from a palette of your choice.
export it how you normally export for print, then print it.
this way, you know it is set up using your preferred settings.

Tools > Macros > Run Macro, I got an error window, and now when I try it again, "Run Macro" is greyed out.

???

Wow! Same thing happened to me just now. Yet I used it two weeks ago. The only thing that changed is I tried the trial version of Corel X8, and then un installed it. Maybe that caused it. Have you tried X8 and then removed it?

Just tried my other computer, no X8 on that one, and it works fine.

Another thought: Is there a way to extract the RVW palette that is built into VW? If so, we could convert them from spot to CMYK in Corel or Illy.
