S2 Replacing Lever

Quick question, I'm switching out the lever on our S2 (old one snapped off) but I'm not sure with way to orient the square rod back in.

There's a plastic clip to the right of the lever that the spring inside attaches to with a tab on one corner. (picture attached) Should this tab be facing up (like in the picture) or down when I'm threading the rod back through the rollers?

The rod has screw holes on both sides so I can't go by those.

Figured it out

Needs to be pointed up, there's a button it pushes to let the plotter know when the rollers are down. Unfortunately it snapped and I gotta get a new one....
