s80600 new firmware has not silenced loud fan.

Same, Epson edge dashboard has always told me that it was on the latest firmware for the last 7 years lol, finally checked the Epson website and updated, I was way behind!

You can download the update from Epsons website here: https://epson.ca/Support/Printers/S...eries/Epson-SureColor-S80600/s/SPT_SCS80600PE
There is a firmware updater tool there.

The same to me!!! Although I downloaded the last firmware from Epson's site and i ask password. I put "admin" and nothing happens. I put the S/N the same. Do you know any useful password???

The last firmware is SA023N9. I downloaded it from Epson dashboard and it works for me! What a pleasure when you have this printer at home! Thanks Epson. I don't understand why they haven't done before.

That doesn't even closely match the version I just downloaded. It had a date of June. 2023.
Just went to the website and checked. The only firmware available for the s80600 is the SA11B.
Are you possibly outside the USA?

80600’s manufactured from mid 2023 have a random password embedded in their nvram. You can find the password if you open the left maintenance cover. There are stickers with the serial number and password.

I don't think there is a link between the firmware and the language because you can chose your language directly in the printer menu.

When I was using Roland's I always had to get firmware updates from over seas as Roland never had them available on the US web site.

Found on Epson Japan website:
Added control to stop the main board heatsink fan when in power saving mode

I remembered reading this thread and decided to finally do something about the loud fan on our S80600. The WeTransfer link above is expired.
Here is a link to the SA023N9 on the Epson Japan website, though it says it's for the s80650, it worked fine for me to stop the fan.
The US Epson site only lists SA011MBa, and it's unclear if it addresses the fan issue.
