s80600 service manual

Just installed our new epson 80600. Really impressive print quality, no more banding or graininess, looks like paint.

Hoping somebody has a copy of the service manual for this model they could share. Let me know I will provide my email. We don't have an immediate need for it at the moment, but would be nice to have on hand. We are coming from a roland xj540, not sure if these epsons are similar, but there was a lot more you could do on the roland once in service mode.

One thing we'd like to do and haven't figured out how yet, is to print blocks of the ink colors. We want to print some blocks of each ink color and leave them outside to see how the different inks last. Does anybody know of a way to do this? We are using onyx thrive 19.

Or have to do... we have had ours for about 4 months now and I love it. It's fairly self servicing, and when something manual needs to be done - cleaning, changing consumables - it prompts you, and walks you through the process. It's pretty low maintenance. If you mean the users guide, you can get the pdf online.

For the blocks of color - just print the Epson test file... I tried to upload it for you here, but it's too big. :(

There is a service mode, but they don't want you messing around with it. Service has to be done by techs from DecisionOne, dispatched by Epson Support.

We've had our Epsons for about 4 years now and everything you will need to do (besides replace parts - keep your service contract current) can be don through the normal menus. Calibrate your media feeds on the printer and keep a few settings saved, but otherwise you wont need to do all that much more, they basically take care of most things for you.

Yea hopefully won't ever need to crack it open, but still prefer to have a service manual on hand. So I'm guessing nobody has a copy? I thought I saw it being shared on here during my printer research.

The manuals for the older series, S30, 50, 70 can be found. I have yet to see a manual floating around for the S40, 60, or 80. My D! tech has to use a dongle when using the newer serviceprog.

Wow that some serious lockdown. Does the dongle plug into the printer?

Yes we are participating in that, no brainer.

Can anyone else confirm that a dongle is needed to enter service mode? If so, who is going to be the first to get their hands on a "service mode dongle"?
