SC-540EX Excessive Cleaning Cycles during Printing

I purchased a used Sc-540EX. The print quality is good but the printer makes about 6 passes and then goes into a cleaning cycle for every job I've tested. I am running FlexiCloud.

I'm just getting familiar with this machine as I've been running Mutoh's for the past 8 years.

Any ideas on whats happening here to make this happen?

Don't know if it's in the regular menu or the service side but look for "periodic cleaning" and set the interval to whatever you want (or off if you prefer). You can also change whether it does a full clean or just a wipe.

Aftermarket inks

Awhile back, Roland had a firmware where the printer would waste ink if it saw an aftermarket ink cartridge. What type of ink are you running?

for me it was changing the cleaning interval to 0 that fixed it.
