Scaffolding ideas needed

Hey everyone, what are y'all doing for air shield scaffolding. Just seeing if we can come up with something better!

I jumped the gun a bit on that question. We have an area to pull tractors and box trucks under to do the air shields but the problem is with cutaway vans... the sprinter tops especially, the gage of the metal up there is so thin!

Well, I noodled it out and just took two 8' stepladders (one on each side) built a platform for the top of each, put the upper section of the 24' extension ladder on top of that with a piece of plywood between the rings and the top of the I-beam... worked and was safe.

We use 2 stepladders and a 16' 2x12. It was a quick cheap solution when we didn't have time to get the Werner extension platform and has worked for us for years.

I like the fact that the Extension Plank is only 8' long for transport don't want to lug around a 16' 2"x12', and the Extension Plank is 14" wide not 11.25" like a 2"x12".

And the fact that I can make it any length I need in just seconds from 8' to 13' is very handy indeed. There are many, many uses for the Extension Plank.

Oh, and it doesn't take any longer to get a Extension Plank than a 2x12 at Home Depot, they are just a one isle apart in my store.

I agree the 2x12 would be a pain to transport but we don't do that, and we already had it in our shop from something else when we needed it. Definitely for any on site jobs in the future we will be looking at the Werner extension!
