Hello there I have a Roland sc 500 I am having motor error coming up all the time, I have located in the service mode that my scan motor has made like 4.5 million turns/ revolutions I cant find how many hours this is on the motor, but it seems like this motor has been used up, I know after a while these take a crap.. but is this enouph usage for me to get a new one?

If the motor screaching very loudly when running and you'd like a new one. Go for it. If its quiet and humming along. All is well.

You could have one one on hand if she blows up down the road.

My Roland motor has a life of around 1500 hours. I replaced mine at 2300 hrs because it was too noisy to deal with. It still ran fine at the time. I kept it as a back up.
