We've used this and depending on the depth of the scratches, it might what you need.

That brand also has a #3 for heavy scratches. We also use Mother's Plastic Polish or Zymol Cleaner Wax.

I've experimented with those wipes for rejuvenating the lenses on headlights and it works ok.

It's better to have two hands than one glove.
Torch. Very small and very cool. Back in the day that's the way airplane canopies were polished. The technique is still widely used to polish cut edges of this sort of material.

Given the cost of extruded acrylic I Wouldn’t bother. Cost you more in labour to get it in a saleable state than to buy a new piece...
