Scratched aluminum............

I have a project where we have had 1/4" aluminum sheets water jet to shape and with lettering. The sub we used for the water jet scratched the face of all the signs while moving the raw sheets.

How do I fix this?

I tried light sanding but that didn't go well.

Do I sand with a belt sander, then polish with a buffer?

Looks like this will be a long weekend. These signs are to be installed Monday.

D.A.(dual action sander) is what I use. Start out with 320 grit and move up from there. I'll finish with 2000 minimum then polish with automotive compound and wool buff. All the finer grits are done wet. Keeps the paper from loading up and material stays cool.
