Scratching Laminate

i have been using gloss laminate but I find it scratches easy. Is matte more common to use? Is there a good type of squeege or something I should be using? Would love to hear what is better to use too, matte or gloss? Thanks!

I use Felt backed squeegees.

I use felt too, but it still will leave light scratches. If they are bad you can always hit it with a heat gun, not too much, just enough for the scratches to disappear.
